Bliss Gets The Attention Of
Former House Speaker
ATLANTA GA, October 2, 2008
At the American Solutions
symposium presented by former
Speaker of the House, Newt
Gingrich, Beaulieu executives introduced a petroleum-saving solution of their own: Bliss Healthy Home carpet made from recycled plastic water and soda bottles. The American Solutions event was held
September 27 at the Cobb Galleria Convention Center in Marietta, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta. Alleviating America’s dependence on foreign oil was a major topic at the event. Beaulieu of America owner Carl Bouckaert, Ralph Boe, president and CEO; and Patricia Flavin, Senior VP of Marketing for Bliss met with Mr. Gingrich
immediately following his presentation.
“He was definitely impressed with Bliss and how we make Healthy Home from 1.6 billion recycled bottles each year,” observed Mr. Bouckaert. “I believe we will be continuing our discussions with Mr. Gingrich on how we can offer more solutions to America.”
